"Barely not a house church"
Hello, and welcome to our website! ACF is a Christian community committed to honoring Jesus Christ through our lives, strengthening each other in faith, love, and knowledge, and creating opportunities for visitors and friends to investigate the bold claims and adventurous calling of Jesus Christ. We desire to purposefully live out the "kingdom of God" as Jesus described it, aspiring to be a community that takes seriously the two greatest commandments: loving God and loving everyone else.
We started off as a house church, grew a bit too much for that venue, and are now renting some space from a wonderful host church. But we're still a house church at heart.
We're excited about the many opportunities that have been set before us, and are eager to use this ministry (and this website) to share the hope and truth of Christianity with people both close to home and around the world.
Currently, most of our meetings are held at Bridge House in Milwaukie, Oregon (we rent from the Church that owns the building).
The following is a brief description of a typical week:
On Sundays we meet at 11:00 A.M. for a regular service devoted to Praise, Prayer, the study of Scripture and other topics, the building of relationships, and the celebration of Communion, followed by a Fellowship Meal.
On Tuesday nights: See the calendar for our various Tuesday night activities- special study forums, group sing/prayer/share events, and Men's and Women's groups that meet for personal accountability, exhortation, recreation, and encouragement as well as other activities designed to help encourage discipleship and spiritual growth. Check the calendar for specific times and locations.
