A brief history
Back in 1997, my wife Rosemary and I decided to open up our home for a weekly "Bible Study". Originally designed as a 'parachurch' way to help other Christians we knew (as well as ourselves) ask deeper questions about their faith, over the next eight years the group eventually took on quite a life of its own. Through many adventures, foundational values were developed that eventually prepared us for a more formal decision to found a church.
Aletheia Christian Fellowship was born in June 2005 and continued to meet in our home until February 2007 when, because of some growth in membership, we began renting space from Bridge City Community Church in Milwaukie, Oregon.
If you visit Aletheia today, you’ll find a close-knit but welcoming family of believers that still feels in many ways like a house church. If you value truth, honesty, working together as a family, celebrating the uniqueness of others, healthy debate, living life with others, not taking yourself too seriously, caring for a hurting world, and pursuing what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ, we expect you'll feel right at home.
